Green Light Driving school offers services for those who failed either the knowledge (computer) or road skills (in-car) DMV tests 3 times. If you failed the knowledge test, the 8-hour Drivers Manual Course is necessary in order to retake the test. If you failed the road skills test, driving lessons are necessary in order to retake the test. 

Knowledge (Computer) Test

If you have failed the knowledge test three times, you must successfully complete an 8-hour Driver's Manual Course before you can take the examination a fourth time. This 8-hour course is based on the Virginia driver's manual and is designed to better prepare individuals for the knowledge test. Green Light Driving School LLC., is a Virginia certified approved Driving School. Classes taken at a driver improvement clinic do not meet the requirement. 

The completion date of the driver's manual course must be after the date of your third knowledge test failure. When you have successfully completed the course, Green Light Driving School LLC., will provide you with a certificate of completion. Study the driver's manual and take the practice test before retaking the knowledge test.

We welcome all students; the instructor speaks English.  Interpreter is allowed as space permits.

The 8-hour Drivers Manual Course is scheduled on Sundays from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with a lunch break). Upcoming dates can be found below.

$150 money order, cashier's check (made payable to Green Light Driving School), or cash

Additional Requirement for Individuals Under Age 18:
If you are under age 18, you must provide proof of having completed the classroom component of driver education before you can take the 8-hour Driver's Manual Course.

Road Skills (in-car) Test

Need Driving Lessons

Driver's license applicants who fail the road skills test three times must successfully complete the in-vehicle component course.  This course provides you the required 7 (50-minute) driving lessons before taking the examination a fourth time.

Our exceptional instructors are certified to teach the Virginia Behind the Wheel educational program, and can ensure you are well prepared for the DMV road test. We look forward to helping you become a safer, more confident driver.

At the completion of driving lessons, Green Light will present you the Driver Education Certificate with a completion date that is after the date of the third test failure to satisfy eligibility requirements for re-examination at DMV.
